Trellis Earth Products

More Manufacturing for the County!

Trellis Earth invited Martha for a tour. She went out to their facility in Wilsonville to meet with Todd Miller, Retail Sales Director, and Robert Crosby, the Vice President of Sales. Trellis Earth Products, Inc. develop, market and sell bioplastic-based products used primarily in the food service industry, including disposable deli-ware, cutlery, shopping bags and trash bags. On February 14th, Trellis Earth released big news that in 2012 they will be working to open two manufacturing plants in the United States. One plant is planned to open in Lake Oswego, meaning more jobs for our county!

Sunnyside United Neighbors

Martha visited the Sunnyside United Neighbors CPO last Tuesday. They were discussing several new and exciting developments going on locally. First, Pastor Ray Cotton from New Hope Community Church spoke about the Eagle Landing re-development planned for Happy Valley and unincorporated Clackamas County. They are planning a huge remodel of the neighborhood. The plan includes a new chapel, four star hotel, shopping district, outdoor amphitheater and mini golf. They have top architects working on the project including one of the lead architects from the Downtown Disney design. Find out more about the Eagle Landing project here.

Clackamas County Library Director, Doris Grolbert was at the meeting to discuss the Clackamas Corner-Oak Lodge library's new location. A few years back, the library purchased an old building to renovate into a brand new library location in Happy Valley. Ever since, they have faced one development setback after another. After a long struggle, they are moving into the still unfinished property in March. The good news is after all the setbacks and added costs the library will still end up within their budget thanks to thoughtful spending and an excellent saving system they implemented from the beginning.

Lawn Sign Time!

Do you have a location in your yard where a lawn sign would be highly visible to heavy traffic? If yes, we want to put up a Martha Schrader Lawn Sign in your yard. Please sign up for a lawn sign here. We have a limited amount of yard signs, so we are looking to place the signs only in prime locations. If you can help put up lawn signs, please email campaign@marthaschrader.com, we need your help! Thank you for signing up!
