Martha Speaking at Veterans Day event at Estacada High School

This Friday, Martha Schrader, former State Senator, County Commissioner and current candidate for Clackamas County Commission, will be in Estacada to honor the veterans who have served our country. Martha will be at the Veteran’s Day Breakfast hosted by the Estacada Cheerleaders and will be introduced during the Veterans Day Ceremony at the Ranger Football Stadium with Mayor Becky Arnold following the parade.

Martha has been very active in Veteran’s Affairs. Two weeks ago, Martha Co-chaired a conference for the national organization Military Children’s Education Center (MCEC). MCEC’s mission is to ensure quality educational opportunities for all military-connected children affected by mobility, a sick or injured parent, cycles of deployment, family separation, trauma or loss, and develop resilience skills during good times. She has also been active with the National Guard’s Yellow Ribbon Re-Integration Team and served on the Governors Task Force for Re-integration. As a Senator, Martha helped develop some of the strongest pro-veteran transportation legislation in a decade and chaired the Senate Veteran’s Affairs Committee.

Come greet Martha at the breakfast or at end of the parade route in Estacada this Friday. She will also visit the Sandy VFW and the American Legion in Milwaukie later that afternoon.
